Thanks for a successful 2018 WSACE Annual Conference! The venue & scenery at Alderbrook Resort were a wonderful spot to celebrate Gary Rowe (WSACE) & Jeff Monson (CRAB) as we wish them all the best as they embark on the new adventures ahead of them in Retirement!
It was our honor to have visiting NACE President, Richard Sanders, join us from Minnesota, along with wife Ruth (future WA state Event Planner if they ever move out to WA!). Special thanks to Commissioner Blair Brady (Wahkiakum County) and WSAC Executive Director Eric Johnson, for sharing their insights and experience.
A special thanks to Melissa McFadden, WSACE’s 1st Female President, for her year in office, as she transitions to Past President and passes the torch to the new President-Elect, Paul Randall-Grutter (after a brief 1 week stint by Andrew Woods, who is departing for a new position at CRAB, we wish him well!). Eric Pierson (Secretary/Treasurer) and Scott Lindblom (Western District Rep) were also sworn in. Thank you Gary Rowe for faithfully serving as WSACE Managing Director these past 10 years, you’ve set the bar high and we are eternally grateful for all of your hard work, dedication, and wisdom that you’ve shown us. Congratulations & Best Wishes to Jeff Monsen (CRAB) on his years of service supporting CRAB, WSACE and County Roads!
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s 2018 Annual Awards Banquet.
President’s Award – Derek Pohle, P.E. (CRAB)
Project Manager of the Year – Kathleen Neuman (Franklin County)
Program Manager of the Year – Jeff Marshall (Whitman County)
County Engineer of the Year – Matt Rasmussen, P.E., P.L.S. (Benton County)
The feedback I’m hearing from attendees was that this was one of the best, the speakers were insightful & engaging (kudos to Gary for lining them all up), and the Alderbrook on the waterfront was a relaxing place to spend the conference! We’ll be announcing the location for next year’s 2019 Annual Conference sometime this summer, so stay tuned! Congrats & Best Wishes to both Gary & Jeff in their Retirements!
